What size dumpster do you need for construction?

For construction work, the table matches the job to a size. Home addition (framing, drywall, packaging) usually fits a 30-yard. Every size includes 7 days and 2 to 6 tons, and weight over that is $75 per ton by the exact pound.

How much will your construction debris weigh?

Mixed construction and demolition debris averages about 417 lb per cubic yard (EPA). A full 30-yard at that density is about 6,255 lb, about 3.1 tons, under the 4 tons included. Drywall is denser at about 467 lb per cubic yard.

Where should the dumpster go for construction work?

On commercial and new-build sites, place the bin on firm ground the truck can reach after rain. Many DFW cities limit construction roll-offs to franchise haulers; check your city page first.

For construction jobs, as on every delivery, our drivers set the bin on wooden boards to protect concrete and asphalt. A $125 trip fee applies if the bin can't be placed because of cars, wires or locked gates. Placement guide.

Which rules apply to construction debris?

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.252(a) requires an enclosed chute when material drops more than 20 feet outside a building's exterior walls. For demolition or renovation of regulated buildings, the EPA asbestos NESHAP, 40 CFR 61.145 requires inspection and, above set thresholds, advance notice.

General information, not legal advice. Confirm with your city, HOA or permit office.

What if the job runs long or the bin fills early?

Call when the bin is full and we pull it and drop an empty one; each swap is billed as a new flat-rate rental. Extra days are $25 each after the first 7.

Construction dumpster questions

Can you swap a full dumpster on a job site?

We pull the full dumpster and drop an empty one on request. Each swap counts as a new flat-rate rental.

Do I need a chute for a multi-story job?

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.252(a) requires an enclosed chute when debris drops more than 20 feet outside the building's exterior walls.

Can construction debris and concrete go in the same bin?

Concrete and masonry go only in the 10 or 15-yard, loaded halfway. Keep heavy demo separate from framing scrap.

Can you deliver in cities with franchise haulers?

Several DFW cities, including Frisco, Allen and Mansfield, require their own hauler for construction roll-offs. Our service-area pages list them.
